Q. What can you do for me?
A. JobTrials was developed to help everyone and anyone access to employment in Lancashire. We offer you a personal and tailored service to making sure that your needs are met. We offer one to one services, workshops and continuous support via text, email or phone calls to suit you.
Q. Are you a recruitment service?
A. No! Although we have employers available to assist adults into employment they do not always have a vacancy available. JobTrials is for potential employees and we do what we can to ensure everyone has a good chance of gaining employment. We are not there to make people fit into jobs but we do help adults realise their potential.
Q. Is there a cost for your service?
A. No, well not to the adults using the service anyway. Trying to gain experience, training and confident is a stuggle for anyone so JobTrials does not and will not expect adults looking for work to pay.
Q. What should we include in the ‘contact us’ box?
A. For a quicker reply please include
• contact details you wish us to use,
• the part of Lancashire in which you are looking for work,
• the type of work you would like and
• you can even cut and paste your CV or complete the downloadable one from the website.
Q. If I used the service would it affect my benefits?
A. Essentially no, however there are always exceptions to the rules. Please check with Job Centre Plus or we can do that for you.
Q. Will I get paid?
A. No, neither JobTrials or the employer will pay you to attend a work experience placement, working interview or workshops however we may contribute towards certain expenses these will be confirmed before you accept any placement or workshop.
Q. What is the criteria to access your services?
JobTrials can help you if you are
• aged 19 years and above,
• live in Pennine Lancashire (will open to the whole of Lancashire in due course)
• need assistance in finding employment.
